The By Farr Chardonnay grows on a north-facing slope of red soil over limestone planted in 1994 - the same celebrated site as the Sangreal Pinot Noir. Whole-bunch pressed and wild-fermented in 30 per cent new French oak, it is a wine built around minerality, texture and length.
The palate is fine but firm, with understated power, great acidity and a long mineral finish. Rich in flavour yet very refined, with fruit beautifully integrated with French oak.
From Wine by Farr, named The Real Review Winery of the Year Australia 2025.
