The By Farr Viognier is a blend from two estate vineyards at Bannockburn, including the original house block planted in 1994 on red soil over limestone. Picked early to preserve natural acidity, it is foot-stomped, left briefly on skins, then barrel-fermented with all solids on wild yeast for a more delicate, refined style.
A perfumed yet subtle expression, showing fresh peach and apricot with a ginger-like freshness, underlying power and a long, lingering finish. Restrained and luscious, it will reward 12 months in bottle as the acidity softens.
