Collection: Merlot

Merlot is the dominant grape of Bordeaux's Right Bank and one of the world's most widely planted red varieties. At its finest - in Pomerol and St-Emilion - it produces wines of extraordinary plushness, depth and longevity that bear no resemblance to the soft, early-drinking style the variety became associated with in mass-market production. Petrus, the most celebrated Merlot-based wine in the world, is 100% Merlot from a single hectare of iron-rich clay in Pomerol.

This collection includes Merlot-dominant wines from Bordeaux's Right Bank alongside examples from Margaret River, where the variety blends naturally with Cabernet Sauvignon to produce some of Australia's most complete red wines.
