S.C. Pannell is one of the key modern voices in South Australian wine, with a strong focus on Mediterranean varieties and a more measured, drinkable style. The current Lamont's collection is tightly focused on McLaren Vale Grenache, including Little Branch and Smart Grenache from the 2022 and 2023 vintages.

These wines are well suited to customers who like Grenache for perfume, spice and fine tannin rather than heavy richness. McLaren Vale gives warmth and fruit, but the best S.C. Pannell wines keep freshness and shape in view, making them useful with roast pork, lamb, charcuterie or spiced vegetable dishes.
