Why we follow Bass Phillip

The estate

Founded in 1979 by Phillip Jones at Leongatha South in South Gippsland, and long regarded as one of Australia's benchmark small Pinot Noir producers. Jones sold the business in 2020 to a syndicate led by the Burgundian winemaker Jean-Marie Fourrier of Domaine Fourrier; the 2021 vintage was the first fully under the new team. Fourrier leads the winemaking and winegrowing team, with Adam Francis based on site as general manager, running day-to-day vineyard and winery work.
