2022 Patrice et Maxime Rion Chambolle Musigny Vieilles Vignes | Pre-Arrival Offer

Critic Reviews
93 Points - Neal Martin, Vinous
“The 2022 Chambolle-Musigny Vieilles Vignes comes entirely from bought fruit (60-year-old vines) picked from September 2nd. It has a tight-wound bouquet that only gradually opens: dark berry fruit, black tea and light granitic scents. The medium-bodied palate has fine tannins, offering mainly black fruit with a tinge of blueberry, quite succulent and sorbet frosted with a persistent finish. Very fine. (Drink between 2027-2042) Original score: 91-93 points”
93 Points - Jasper Morris, Inside Burgundy
“A rich purple colour. The bouquet has the attractive sumptuous qualities of fully ripe fruit picked before it starts to turn. A peppery note helps to maintain the freshness, the fruit flows beautifully across the palate, quite complex and perfectly balanced. Original score: 90-93 points”
91 Points - Allen Meadows, Burghound
“Here too there is just enough wood to merit mentioning on the ripe if decidedly cool aromas of red and dark pinot fruit, anise, violet and a hint of exotic tea. Once again there is a really lovely texture to the lacy and delicious middleweight flavors that exhibit solid length on the balanced and mildly austere finish that could use slightly better depth. (Drink starting 2029) Original score: 88-91 points”
