Hunter Valley NSW

The Hunter Valley is one of Australia's most historic wine regions, known for wines that age in a very different way to those from cooler or more powerful regions. The current Lamont's collection is centred on Tyrrell's, with Vat 47 Winemaker's Selection Chardonnay from 2009, 2011 and 2013, alongside 2022 Jonnos Shiraz and 8 Acres Shiraz.

This is a useful collection for customers who enjoy character over weight. The Chardonnays show the Hunter's ability to hold freshness with age, while the Shiraz tends towards savoury, medium-bodied structure rather than Barossa richness.
