Why we follow By Farr

The estate

Gary Farr was the inaugural winemaker at Bannockburn Vineyards from 1978 and spent ten vintages at Domaine Dujac in Burgundy. He and Robyn Farr bought the neighbouring property in 1994 and established By Farr. Their son Nick Farr now leads the winemaking, working with his wife Cassie, while Gary and Robyn remain involved. The estate farms close-planted vines on several distinct soil types in the Moorabool Valley near Bannockburn, and is known for single-block Pinot Noir and Chardonnay. Farr Rising is a companion label made in a different style, not a second tier.
