Village-level Chassagne rouge from the domaine's Champ de Morgeot holding, on the flatter, deeper, heavier land immediately below the Morgeot premiers crus. This is the sector that supplies most of Chassagne's red wine, and the domaine calls it definitively red wine territory. Vines planted between 1971 and 1980, cordon-pruned.

A substantial holding of 3ha65 just below 1er Cru Morgeot. Definitely red wine territory. Lively red fresh purple. Glowing and quite a classy pinot, quality raspberry then with some furrier tannins behind. Just ripe, with a decent aftertaste. - Jasper Morris MW, Inside Burgundy (88-90 pts)

Twelve months in oak, 25% new. Since 2021 the reds have been handled far more gently here - shorter punch-down windows, longer macerations and pumping-over in place of hard extraction - and the wines are notably less rustic than the domaine's reds of the past. Drinking 2028 to 2031.
