The Chavy family has grown vines in Puligny-Montrachet for more than two centuries, and the 2024 Jean-Louis Chavy Puligny-Montrachet is the domaine's village Chardonnay, assembled from ten small parcels scattered across the appellation, including Les Tremblots, Les Meix, Les Levrons, Corvee des Vignes and Les Reuchaux. Blending across sites gives a wine that reads as a portrait of the whole village: mineral, crisp and quietly concentrated, with the nutty, floral edge that marks Puligny at its best. Jean-Louis is now joined at the domaine by his son Paul, and the winemaking stays classic: whole-bunch pressing, natural yeasts, no batonnage, and around eleven months in barrel before a rest in stainless steel.
