Les Perrieres takes its name from the stony, quarried ground of Puligny-Montrachet's mid-slope, and it is one of the village's most admired Premier Crus, prized for the tension and minerality it brings to Chardonnay. The 2024 Jean-Louis Chavy Puligny-Montrachet 1er Cru Les Perrieres comes from a very small holding at the domaine and is made in tiny quantities, with the Chavy family's usual approach of whole-bunch pressing, natural yeasts, no batonnage and a modest proportion of new oak. The domaine notes the 2024 is showing remarkably well and is very expressive this year, which is unusual praise for a vineyard that often needs time.
