Moss Wood

Moss Wood was one of the first vineyards planted in Margaret River. Bill Pannell put in the vines at Wilyabrup in 1969. Keith Mugford arrived as winemaker in the late 1970s, and he and Clare have owned and run the estate since the mid-1980s. Few wineries in Australia have had such continuity, and it shows in the Cabernet, which has a consistent style across decades: fine-boned, perfumed, firm when young, and long-lived.

About Moss Wood

What we can offer that almost no one else can is depth. We hold Moss Wood Cabernet Sauvignon across almost every vintage from 2000 to the current 2023, so you can buy a mature bottle to drink tonight, put together a vertical, or match a birth year. Several vintages are also in magnum. Two rarer bottles round it out: the 1998 and 1999 from the Glenmore Vineyard, a neighbouring site Moss Wood made separately.

Chardonnay and Pinot Noir from the estate are here too.
