Collection: Rare Champagne
Rare Champagne is produced by Piper-Heidsieck, first created in 1976 as a tribute to Eliane Gancia and the heritage of the house. The wine is made only in exceptional vintages and is aged for a minimum of ten years on lees before disgorgement, producing a Champagne of unusual depth, complexity and vinous character.
The Rare Millesime is the flagship expression - a Chardonnay-dominant blend from grand cru villages including Cramant, Avize and Oger, aged in the house's historic cellars in Reims. It is one of the most serious and age-worthy prestige cuvees in Champagne, and one of the least well-known outside the most dedicated collector circles.
