Australian Cabernet Sauvignon

Moss Wood and Cullen from Margaret River, Penfolds Bin 707, Wynns John Riddoch from Coonawarra and Yarra Yering Dry Red No. 1 anchor this Australian Cabernet Sauvignon range, with museum bottles from the 1990s next to current releases.

About Australian Cabernet Sauvignon

Cabernet does particularly well in Australia's cooler and maritime regions. Margaret River gives fine-grained, savoury wines, Coonawarra's terra rossa gives structure and mint, and the Yarra Valley adds elegance. Further inland, the Clare Valley and the Victorian Pyrenees produce firmer, more robust styles that reward patience in the cellar.

Western Australia leads our range, with deep holdings of Moss Wood and Cullen, plus Xanadu, Howard Park and Plantagenet from Great Southern. From South Australia there is Penfolds Bin 707 and Bin 407, Wynns John Riddoch and Black Label, Henschke Cyril Henschke and Wendouree. Victoria is represented by Yarra Yering and Dalwhinnie. Museum bottles from the 1990s sit alongside the latest releases. Plantagenet museum releases offer a rare look at how Great Southern Cabernet ages.
