1995 Moss Wood Cabernet Sauvignon

Critic Reviews
96 Points - James Halliday, Halliday Wine Companion
“Medium to full purple-red; a smooth gently sweet-textured bouquet with that very special character of Moss Wood, a particular softness which is quite unique. The palate is in precisely the same mould, with soft, luscious mouthfilling blackcurrant and dark chocolate fruit flavours with perfectly integrated and balanced sweet oak. The tannins, likewise, are extraordinarily supple and fine.”
95 Points - Erin Larkin, Wine Advocate
“The 1995 Cabernet Sauvignon is layered and complex, with tapenade, bay leaf, dried herbs, cocoa, aniseed and salt bush. This is decidedly leafier than the 1999 tasted alongside; however, the vintage conditions in this season (warm and dry, likened by proprietor Keith Mugford to the recent 2024 vintage) would lead us to expect a much bigger, riper, more muscular wine. The restraint here is one of the highlights of the wine.”
