Critic Reviews
94 Points - Campbell Mattinson, The Wine Front
“It's a beautiful wine. Complex, silken, syrupy and persistent. Concentrated olive and blackcurrant fruit flavour, matched to highlights of gamey, undergrowthy tobacco and an arrestingly tight, tannic finish. It's needs to relax. It needs time for that earthy, gamey richness to flood through the ripe churn of blackcurrant and cedar. (Drink between 2008-2016)”
94 Points - Huon Hooke, The Real Review
“A very good bottle of this classic Moss Wood cabernet which is still showing it has years to live and is a robust vintage of this wine. A powerful and elegant wine, eight years since I last tasted a bottle. It is maturing gracefully. Ranked #6 of 19 for 1999 Australian Cabernet Sauvignon.”
