Larmandier-Bernier

Larmandier-Bernier is a family grower in Vertus, at the southern end of the Côte des Blancs, run by Pierre and Sophie Larmandier. They farm biodynamically, work almost entirely with Chardonnay and keep dosage low, so the wines show chalk, citrus and place rather than sweetness.

About Larmandier-Bernier

The wine we hold is Vieille Vigne du Levant, the estate's grand cru Champagne from old Chardonnay vines in Cramant. Our bottles are the 2013 vintage, which has had more than a decade on lees and in bottle to build depth while keeping its precision. It is as good at the table as it is as an aperitif: try it with oysters, scallops or roast chicken.
