2008 Marchand & Burch Mazis-Chambertin Grand cru

Critic Reviews
95 Points - Huon Hooke, The Real Review
“Medium to medium-full red-purple. Savoury and cherry aromas; some toasty/charred barrel here to go with bright clean cherry fruit. Very good depth and focus, concentration and drive here. Dry, firm and tight to close. Superb depth and elegant intensity. Some richness. A more masculine style. Still needs time. A keeper.”
95 Points - James Halliday, Wine Companion
“Bright and clear colour; like all the Marchand & Burch Pinot Noirs, wild yeast-fermented and given extended maceration before being settled and taken to 100% new oak, as obvious on the bouquet as it is in the Clos de Beze; the palate has good energy and a positive, complex finish and lingering aftertaste. Interesting question is which Grand Cru is better value?”
