2010 Giovanni Chiappini 'Guado de' Gemoli' Bolgheri Superiore

Critic Reviews
95 Points - Wine Advocate, Wine Advocate
“It offers a showy, flamboyant interpretation of this 80% Cabernet Sauvignon and 20% Merlot blend, with deeper density and brighter aromatics. In blind tasting, it stood out as the darkest wine of the flight, richly endowed with notes of Indian spice, black soy, espresso and blackberry essence. Finely chiselled mineral tones of granite and smoke bring focus and precision. Give it another ten years of cellar time. (ML)”
93 Points - Wine Enthusiast
“Aromas of blackberries, plum and stewed prunes are joined by a hint of cedar. The warm, low-acid palate delivers mature black cherry, blackcurrant, tobacco and black pepper, framed by big, ripe tannins and noticeable alcohol warmth. (KO)”
