“This is largely cabernet with malbec and smaller contributions from merlot and petit verdot. The combination of fruit from Wallcliffe and Wilyabrup has been gently treated with hand plunging and basket pressing. It’s a generous medium to full-bodied wine with plush fruit contributions complemented by fine-grained oak and well-managed chalky tannins. The minerally mouth feel is a feature. Excellent.”

“70/20/5/5% cabernet sauvignon/malbec/merlot/petit verdot. A neat combo here with a whorl of dark fruit – all cassis, mulberries and plums. They come spiced to the max with cedary oak in the mix and snips of fresh herbs. There are savoury notes, too, of iodine, charcuterie and new leather. Fuller bodied, with really fine if shapely tannins and lively acidity ensuring a long finish.”
