Rich aromas of Morello cherry and sweet spice on the nose. On the palate, blood plums, dried beef, and tobacco notes mingle with chocolate caramel nuances. Sleek cool blackberry finish. Delicious.

Cassis, liquorice, plum skin, bay leaf, black olive, cocoa dust, raspberry, savoury spice and some meaty reduction. Delicate core of midweight fruit with a refreshing fringe of savoury tomatillo skin, aniseed pastille and crushed graphite. Firm, slinky tannins and pristine acidity. Oak cocoons rather than cloaks. Very impressive length. This sings. The Parterre wines are fantastic value for the quality on offer.

Youthful in colour and full of blackberry, bramble, dried herbs, tobacco, olive tapenade and earthy aromas. There’s lovely weight, brightness and purity on the palate. A beautiful Parterre this vintage. It’s heady with violets, mulberries, fresh herbs with rolled tobacco and some nori, even blueberry muffins of all things, plus cedary oak. The palate is mid-weighted with fine tannins and equally fine acidity and is balanced all the way through. A wine of harmony that will last some distance.

The nose is lifted and perfumed with aromas of blackcurrants, blackberries, tobacco leaves and dried herbs. The medium- to full-bodied palate has finely integrated tannins and focused acidity, showing notes of mulberries, cinnamon bark and ferric earth. Very well balanced and fresh. 88% cabernet sauvignon, 8% malbec and 4% petit verdot. Drink or hold. Screw cap.
