Overview:

Domaine Nicole Lamarche is a family-run estate based in Vosne-Romanée in Burgundy’s Côte de Nuits. Formerly known as Domaine François Lamarche, the domaine now reflects the leadership of Nicole Lamarche, who has overseen the estate since the mid-2000s. The vineyards include holdings in several highly regarded sites, most notably the Grand Cru monopole La Grande Rue, one of Burgundy’s most distinctive single-owner vineyards. The estate also farms parcels in Clos de Vougeot, Echézeaux and Grands Échézeaux. Winemaking focuses on careful vineyard work, restrained use of oak and a clear expression of site, producing Pinot Noir known for structure, balance and longevity.

Critic Reviews

95 Points - Charles Curtis MW, Decanter

“Domaine Nicole Lamarche owns just over three-quarters of a hectare of the Clos de Vougeot. Although the vines in Petit Maupertuis have been rented out in a sharecropping agreement, she demonstrates here that the mature vines (40 – 50 years) are still capable of making a delicious Clos de Vougeot, with its pleasantly forward cherry and pomegranate fruit aroma touched with an almost salty mineral note, spice and a touch of lavender. The texture is silky and elegant, with supple tannins and a good balance between the fresh acidity and the extract.”

94 Points - Jasper Morris MW, Inside Burgundy

“A lighter ruby colour. Moderately dense strawberry and raspberry pastilles on the nose. The Clos de Vougeot seems on the raw side because more youthful. The same fruit profile appears on the palate, just a little more tannic. Fair acidity and length. Drink from 2030-2038. Tasted Nov 2023.”
