2023 Arnaud Mortet Gevrey-Chambertin Cuvee de Tres Vieilles Vignes

Critic Reviews
95 Points - Jasper Morris MW, Inside Burgundy
“A very refined nose, not over stated. Rich full fruit, with a little more oak showing then the pedicel takes over at the back of the palate, extending it enormously. All red fruit not black and really fine. Cherries to finish. Drink from 2029-2035. (92-95 pts)”
92 Points - Tim Atkin MW, timeatkin.com
“The 2023 Gevrey-Chambertin Tres Vieilles Vignes is a blend of three different parcels between 80 and 100 years old from three terroirs. This has a very floral bouquet with wilted rose petal infusing the vivacious red fruit. The palate is medium-bodied with a smooth texture, the removal of the pedicels lending a silkiness that I don't think you would obtain otherwise. Lightly spiced toward the harmonious finish, this is one of Mortet's more sensual offerings in 2023.”
