2023 Domaine Denis Mortet Fixin Vieilles Vignes

Critic Reviews
91 Points - William Kelley, The Wine Advocate
“Once again, Mortet opted to use a significant percentage of whole bunches in his 2023 Fixin Vieilles Vignes, and the resulting wine is perfumed and immediate, delivering notes of orange zest, cassis and plums, followed by a medium-bodied, supple and suave palate, concluding with a floral finish. It will drink well young. (90-91 pts)”
90 Points - Neal Martin, Vinous
“A blend of two parcels in Brochon, the 2023 Fixin Vieilles Vignes was vinified with 70% whole bunch. It has an open, transparent nose with red berry fruit infused with chalky aromas. The palate is medium-bodied and again defined by that stony/chalky element. Strict and in some ways uncompromising, this will appeal to those seeking a more sapid Fixin. (88-90 pts)”
