Dawson James is a small-scale Tasmanian producer making Chardonnay and Pinot Noir with precision, restraint and the cool-climate detail customers associate with the island's top wines.

The Chardonnay partners scallops, oysters and roast chicken; the Pinot Noir suits duck, mushroom dishes and aged hard cheeses. Both reward modest cellar time.
